Where to stay is always a big deal when you travel abroad. Amphitryon wants to help you to solve this problem offering the best possibilities in Madrid. We have made a selection of the best accommodation offer and we will manage the booking for you without charge.

If you are going to stay in Madrid for less than a week, we recommend you one of our five or four stars hotels depending on your budget. Amphitryon has made this selection based on location criteria, quality of facilities and service.

If your stay is going to be longer, months but less than a year, the short rental apartment option could fit perfectly. We have more than 180 apartments in collaboration with the best short term rentals firms, located in the best areas and with a very charming decoration. It’s definitely a great option if you don’t want to live in a hotel and mostly cheaper.

We also can help you to find a great flat for long term rent.

Recently we have add another option with the Luxury Guest House “Casa de Madrid”. This is a unique house nearby the Royal Theatre, it’s luxurious, charming, magnificently decorated and a real different experience.

Flamenco in Madrid: Cafe de Chinitas

Our last visit to the bests Madrid’s flamencos was to el Café de Chinitas.

Its venue is one of the bests in Madrid and if you want to mix flamenco and dinner we definitely recommend this place. The food is excellent!

Talking about the show, I have to say that is not the most pure one, but its staging is original and fun.

It’s one of the classics tablaos flamencos of Madrid and many top artists have acted there. The other night there were 11 people on the stage, three singers, three guitarists, 4 women dancers and one man.

All of them were good and the made a good show. In Café the Chinitas if you go to the first pass at about 20:30 you’ll find that most people are having dinner during the show.

Another thing to point out is that children are allowed, so if that is your case you won’t have any problem.

Flamenco in Madrid: Corral de la Moreria

As you can see, we’re visiting all the bests tablaos of Madrid. Yesterday we were invited to el Corral de la Moreria, this is probably the most famous tablao of Madrid, considered the cathedral of Flamenco, it has the special award of the best tablao flamenco of the world, it appears in the Michelin Guide 2010 and also in the book “1000 places to see before you die”.

Its venue is located very close to the Almudena Cathedral and the Royal Palace one of the most beautiful areas of Madrid. Inside you’ll find the restaurant and showroom together. I liked the place, it has good sound, notice that in this tabao there are no microphones. There is a charming atmosphere, all the tables are very close, and you are allowed to take pictures, which I really don’t think is the best idea. So it’s recommended that if you’re going to have dinner you should arrive at 20:30, the show will start when you are on desserts like at 22:00. There is another show at 24:00, and you can have dinner before this one as well.

The show was great!, el Corral has often the best artists of the moment, the show is very carefully design, there were three singers, three guitarists, two main dancers and two other woman dancers. The show was amazing, even though it could be the most touristic compare with the rest. It’s true that the staging is unique.
It wouldn't be strange that you meet with some famous actor or celebrity, we did, with the famous Egyptian actor Omar Sharif.

Special mention for the wonderful dinner they offered us, that we strongly recommend if your budget allows it.
